Our services are of greatest value to those professionals and business owners who understand that they have a need to secure their financial future, and who desire a long-term relationship with a competent, independent financial professional who serves as a guide through the maze of options in addressing those needs. They must also cherish the importance of trust, honour and mutual respect within a business relationship. Since our firm's practice is based on these principles and beliefs, not on portfolio size, we do not have a minimum financial requirement, however many of our clients come to us with a significant networth and initial investable assets of at least one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Who is Victor Didkowsky CFP, CSA?

Victor founded Networth Asset Management Inc. in 1994 and is currently the senior financial planner and managing partner of the practice. He is married to Wilma and has a twenty-eight year old son, Tylor.

Having grown up in a family business environment and then having spent more than thirty years in the private and corporate business arenas, GridVictor brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, as well as a unique perspective to his clients. "What I really do is manage the psychology of money, balance human wants and needs, facilitate the realization of dreams and deliver the peace of mind that comes from knowing that they are not only achievable but sustainable."

Professionally, he is a practitioner member of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (C.A.F.P.), and the Financial Advisors Association (Advocis).  Victor is also a member in good standing of The Financial Planner Standards Council (F.P.S.C.). In addition to being an accredited Certified Financial Planner (CFP), he is also one of a select few advisors who have earned the designation of a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), with a specialization in the planning and wealth management needs of those over 50 years of age.

Over the years, Victor has taken an active role as a board member of The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (C.A.F.E), which deals with the unique needs and workings of families in business. Other board involvements have included acting as Treasurer for the Southern Alberta Round Table of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (C.A.G.P.), which focuses on charitable giving, Public Relations Chair for the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (C.A.F.P.), and Finance Chair of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (S.A.I.T.) Alumni Association. Recently, Victor chaired the Grant Committee for Social Venture Partners and was a member of the Board. SVP is a group of engaged philanthropists who give not only their money, but also their time, leadership and active personal involvement to the organizations they financially support.  He has also had the distinction of being the only fully recognized male member of the Business and Professional Women Club, an international organization with a seat on the U.N., which promotes the status of women. In addition, he has served on numerous committees and has participated in other non-industry related organizations.

For the past decade, Victor has consistently been recognized by his licensing dealership, Worldsource Financial Services Inc., as one of their top practitioners, nation-wide. In addition to sitting on their advisory council, Victor, in partnership with Worldsource, has been the visionary force behind such innovative, industry leading developments as the 'True Invested' Portfolio Report. Recently he was recognized as an 'Advisor of Distinction' by his colleagues and the industry.

Victor's bottom line is that by helping his clients gain insight into their own consciousness and clarifying their own values, he believes that he has made a difference to people seeking a more principled, collaborative and truly fulfilled life.  "I see this as a privilege and a most rewarding calling which, when in process, could be looked at as a multi-faceted art form.”

1. Customized unbiased service - we offer you independent advice, customized to your specific goals. This is achieved through an understanding of your financial and non-financial needs and the development of a reciprocal, long-term relationship based on trust.

2. Financial and Life Plan- our relationship with our clients starts with the development of a comprehensive plan to achieve their long-term financial goals. As part of this plan, we cover usual basics like investment, risk management, and tax and estate planning. We then take it further and talk about things that     are really important to you. Remember, money is no more than the means to an end and in and of itself, has very little value.

3. Comprehensive service - we take on the role of Steward. In this role, we coordinate the activities of existing professional advisors such as tax                  accountants and lawyers, trust practioners, personal/business coaches and fitness counselors. If required, we also tap into our own network of advisors.

4. Long-term growth within your risk tolerance - our firm's investment philosophy is essentially conservative in nature. Operating within each client's risk        profile, all investment portfolios are structured to achieve long-term growth without undue risk. As a result, both of us can sleep soundly at night.

5. Risk Management - our life philosophy is to be cash rich, not insurance rich, however the Canada Revenue Agency offers some very tax favoured opportunities which, in certain cases, may prove to be advantageous.

6. Tax planning and minimization - this is a key component of each financial plan for most clients. As part of the overall plan, strategies such as income splitting, individual pension plans, retirement compensation arrangements, prudent use of leverage, incorporation, family trusts and various tax deferred or tax exempt alternatives are evaluated.

7. Regular performance summaries - you will receive a summary of performance based on your specific reporting requirements, either in paper format or   electronically and at any time you can view your holdings online through our secure web portal. The information is clearly presented. In addition, the format of the report is reviewed with you at the outset of the relationship to minimize confusion or misunderstanding about how to read the results.

8. Investment planning - we do not subscribe to market timing, however your various holdings are monitored on an ongoing basis in order to take advantage of opportunities created by changing market circumstances so we can crystallize profits.

9. Accessibility - our entire team makes itself accessible to you. All telephone calls are returned the same business day.

10. Communication and resources - we believe that our best client is one who is fully informed. As a result, we have a strong commitment to client             communication through a regular newsletter, articles, our website and round table meetings. It seems simple . . . just tell me how much new money I have invested, show me what I've taken out, and remove the 'noise' of money moving around, so you can show me what real gains (or losses) I have realized. Having access to this type of information enables you to make informed decisions regarding your portfolio and your future. 

In partnership with Worldsource Financial Management, we are very pleased to have developed the ‘True Invested Report' which shows you how much ‘real’ money you have contributed to date. It offers a much clearer picture of actual invested dollars versus the market value of your portfolio, than most current financial statements allow. Utilizing formulas that automatically and electronically sort various transaction types in order to include just the ones that are 'new' money in, or money flowing out, this report delivers the information you want and need.

Now, in a clear, consise, and easy to follow numerical and graphical format, you can view the growth of your portfolio on a quarterly, year to date and since inception basis, at both the individual, and household levels.
